In most ways, Tara McNaught is just like a normal teenager. She is a good student with a 3.9 grade point average, she is a junior lifeguard, and she plays soccer for both Mayfair High School and Beach Futbol Club. In one big way, though, it is extraordinary that Tara is able to accomplish all of this and more as Tara suffers from Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and CF-related Type I Diabetes. What makes Tara an inspirational person is her desire for living her life to the fullest. She wakes up ready for what the day has in store for her. She is loving, considerate and helpful. She gives 100% even when she isn't feeling up to it. Tara balances her school work, soccer, and both of her life long diseases. Growing up in a Christian home I knew God was out there. However, I never
really understood God’s purpose for me until my life was changed forever. I had
to somehow find a way to get over the bumps in the road I was destined to face.
